How do I change the head height?

  • Use the height adjustment lever on the right of the head to adjust the height. Adjust the head height to match the thickness of the media you are using.

Changing height procedure

1. Verify the current head height
 Press the ENTER key several times on the LOCAL mode screen to bring up the information screen.
 Please check the head height from there.


2. Move the head to the platen
(1) Press the FUNC1 key and execute [Maintenance] -> [Station Maintenance] -> [Carriage Out].
(2) Open the front cover and manually move the head to the center of the platen (table).


3. Adjust the head to the desired height
 Turning the height adjustment lever on the right side of the head clockwise raises it,
 and counterclockwise lowers it.
 In the example below, if you want to change from L (2mm) to M (2.5mm), turn clockwise until the
 lever reaches to the M position.
* Rotate it until it stops turning.


* The height adjustment lever is located at the right rear (behind the right UV lamp),
 and it may be difficult to visually confirm.
 You can confirm it by peering from a slightly distant position.


4. Close the front cover, press the ENTER key, and return the head to the station

5. Verify that the head height has been successfully changed

 Press the ENTER key several times on the LOCAL mode screen to bring up the information screen.
 Please check if the head height is within the changed range.

[Notes]
Changing the head height may result in left-right deviations in the print output, especially in bidirectional printing.
In such cases, please perform "Drop position correction" before printing.
Please refer to the "UCJV300/150 Operation Manual" > "2.9 Correcting the Drop Position" for the procedure of Dot Position Correction.
